Hello to all,
Im 47 male an I live in a small podunk in Texas. I am a tat artist but have been a shade tree grease monkey forever. I have always been interested in hotrods and the style of Rat Rods really appeals to me. I am currently in search of a starter. I would like a 34 to 47 Ford or Dodge pkup to do a low budget daily driver Rat. I have a friend who has a 36 Dodge 1 1/2 ton (?) thinkin of gettn it. He wants 500. I never know if its worth it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have seen a nice one here on site that appeals too. A 40s Ford Pkup here in texas...his price is more my range too.

Anywhoooo...as you see I tend to ramble...its my excitement tho.

Bear with me and my ignorance. I am sure I will learn from all who choose to mentor me.

Welcome to RRR from NC. [cl

Post a couple of pic's of what you are thinking of buying and we could give you a better answer.[P $500.00 isnt too bad but would have to see it first. Is it just a cab or a partially complete vehical? Solid or major rust?[S Let us know.

Good luck and build it safe.

Slinger,
Like the other guys said... $500's not that bad but give up a lil more info! All fenders there, bed, frame, condition, title, engine, tranny, pictures? I bought a ratty '46 Dodge but it was pretty complete except for motor & tranny plus it had a title.
