New work truck

Took delivery on this last Monday. 2009 IH Prostar Eagle, 450HP Cummins, 10 speed. Has a ThermoKing APU to run heat/AC without running the main engine. Little bitty 2 cylinder Yanmar diesel, only about 18" long! Hope this one lasts better than the last truck did. Back to truck payments for the next 27 months.

Looks like a nice truck. Is the trans a super 10 or a stupid 10 ? I drove a super 10 for about a year,never did get used to it. I like a good old stupid 10,myself.

Thanks guys! Made the first trip wit it Wed night. The old truck nickle and dime me constantly, more like $1000-$2000 at a time. It finally had a death breakdown and it wasn't worth sinking more into it.
The newer one is the common 10 speed. You couldn't run me down and give me a super 10.

And yes good Dr, after 6 weeks off, it's good to be on the road again! Sitting home broke ain't no fun!

Good news, Bam.
I'm sure happy with the way my Cummins treated me.
The only 10 speed that I drove had a really worn out gear shift and I only hauled grain for a few days with it so I never got onto it.
