If I ever win the lottery I'm gonna have a Junior Fueler just like the one in the poster. The smell and the popping exhaust are 100% addictive.

You gotta love those little dragsters.I remember when they raced those here at Fremont Drag Strip when I was just a youngster.Thats a smell that you never forget.Boy do I miss those great times we would have there.

I remember Fremont its a bunch of office buildings now. Used to go to the drags and dirt track, actually raced at the dirt oval there a couple of times.

Sprint cars on alcohol. Burn baby burn.

I remember Fremont too. My dad took me there only once. I was about 10. I will never forget it. The Jet car blew down the fence.:D

That reminds me, I saw Les Shockley's "Shock Wave" three engine jet truck run at the Moroso West Palm Beach track years ago. It blew all the windows out of the tower and caught it on fire. Wild.

Yes,That was good ol Baylands Raceway.I still have a program from that track that still looks like I got it today.I spent many hours and evenenings at both those tracks. That was what was so good about it.You could watch Drag racing on one side and World of outlaws on the other.

Here is a couple of links to the old track

Thanks for the Links. Some very familiar names there. We would also go to San Jose, Watsonville, Antioch, and Merced.

Yeah, Watsonville, I ran there on the dirt oval. Its near the coast and the night cool moist air kept the track nice and wet. No blue groove. The cars were really hooked up. That was some good racing.:D

I should say no dry slick track. Just sticky clay.

Sticky enough to pull your shoes off. I think we did this before but I raced there from about 1984 to the last time 1996. Enduros, Charger Division, Figure 8s, and Street Stocks. Started watching there about 1978. Friday nights at the Stock Car fights.:D
