Had a problem with a 1993 3.3 Caravan downshifting on its own at freeway speeds.Replaced the Trans module on the firewall.Runs and drives ok now.But speedo and tripometer is now inop.Called the dealer and they claim that after that part is installed.The system need to be reflashed.The car is OBD 1.So I am having a hard time understanding what they are goin to flash.That is a bare bones system.Can someone help me?Is there a simple procedure for this?

Don't know about Caravans but changes such as headers and K&N filters on a Dodge Ram required disconnecting the battery, then re-connecting. This allowed the computer to reprogram itself. It took about a few miles for everything to work right again.
