I just signed up too. Glad you posted that site. Been lookin for a site with info & a place to voice opinions about cash for clunkers and related things that involve us in the "old car community". I'm gonna tell more people about this site.

I was watchin the news tonight and they were tellin how the "cash for clunkers" will have an effect on auto recycling yards, mechanic shops, and parts buisness's. Also talked about the amount of $ they will give for your old cars. It isn't worth it in my book. As a mechanic I repair cars for a living. What is the government tryin to do? Take my job away too? I wish they would spend their time thinkin of better ways to boost the economy than to do something as foolish as this. It may seem like a good plan....but I think the end result could be bad for all of us. Just my 2 cents worth.
