Well, I have these little friction shocks that I bought last year. They look a little small and frankly a little cheesy too. I was going to mount them under the headlights on the front of the frame, out of site. I have my headlights down low and there doesn't appear to be any room for regular shocks. Will these friction shocks keep the bouce down on my front end? I know not near as much as a regular shock. Thanks

My Son Don has them on the front of his T bucket and they work "ok". Hydraulics would be better, but we didn't have room for them in the setup he is running. What we found helps a lot is to REALLY crank the adjusting bolts tight so that the rubber is squeezed very tight. Since doing that it has helped the dampening quite a bit.

I have another set of friction shocks from Speedway that I am considering putting on the front of my new rpu project, only because of the space limitations I have, but if I can get hydraulics in there that will be my first choice.

Don

We sell a lot of friction shocks and everyone seems to like them, and the seem to work good. You will probably be surprised as to how well they do work.

i have a pair of rpms shocks

at first i didnt think they worked but never messing with frictions i didnt realize you have to tighten alot. snugged the nut up real tight and now they seem to work great if you are jumping up and down on the front end haha its just a roller right now and they look neater than hydros

A few weeks ago I took a 400 mile + road trip and drove on a good cross section of roads . I came to the conclusion that my shocks - 4 year old Pete and Jake's - were not doing the job . Did some research on the HAMB and decided to bite the bullet and go for the gold . Bought a pair of Billsteins -yes they were pricey . They came Friday aft and I took them for a ride on sat . All I can say is "unbelievable" , the ride is so much improved I am flabergasted . Another road trip coming up this weekend Sept 10 and 11- Hot Rod Hoe Down - North of Philly . Should be a good test . I will report back when trip is over .

I got my friction shocks from Bob's Rat Rod & T-Bucket Parts out of Salem, OR.
They're great, cept I'm not sure on how to connect them to the axle. Toying with the idea of sway bar end links.
any ideas?
