Can I convert the back of a 1935 3 speed tranny with a closed driveshaft to an open one?

I found the kit to convert a late model tranny to use with a banjo type rear end but not the other way around.

Thanks as allways.

Yeah, I am not familiar with exactly the parts involved, but some Ford pickups of that era used open driveshafts, and you use the rear parts of the transmission to convert the box to open drive. I think some parts houses carry kits to do this also. I know it can be done on '39 trannys, but not sure about '35.

It was a common swap in the old days, but the exact procedure is something I do not know. I betcha someone on the HAMB will know, or maybe do a search there first.
