I am about to paint my truck and I thought I would do a special effect on parts of it.

I want to paint a crackle finish or pattern on parts (not a krinkle or wrinkle but a open crackle).;)

Can some one tell me an easy way to achieve that affect?

Seen it done way back when. Friend had a car painted enamel red,
then painted over it with black lacquer. The lacquer shrank
leaving vivid red splits in the black. Test first :)

That is exactly what I want to do!

I am painting my truck DJ BB with a red bed and top and I wanted to do panels in red/black crackle.

I was thinking of using a red (maybe metalflake) enamel undercoat and top coat with JD BB with hardener for faster-drying.
