This is a kinda off the wall question, but I bet somebody here knows a good answer!

I just acquired a 300 Honda Fourtrax ATV. It's been rode hard and abused, and I would like to help the cosmetics a bit. The plastic body was originally a dark green from what I can tell. It has been sprayed over and lettered with what looks like a spray can and maybe even a paintbrush! I'm going to sand as much of the crap off and get back down to the original plastic, and would like to paint it all one color. What paint would work on the flexible plastic and not crack and peel?

The thing runs great. Got to get a shifter lever to replace the vise grips somebody put on for a shifter and a few other things. It will be handy for pulling stuff around the place and riding the fence line.

I'll post up some pics when I get my other computer back online, this old computer doesn't play well with my camera!

I know rustoleum has plastic paint, not sure if it would stick to that type of plastic, but maybe, and its designed for plastic, so I'm sure it has some flex agent in it...

Bodyshops put a flex agent into paint to do things like urethane bumpers and spoilers. Your local paint supply store should carry it.

I painted a hardhat with the Krylon Fusion paint that is supposed to be for plastic, and it chips off pretty easy. Not sure it would do any better on the flexible plastic, the hard hat is kinda stiff. I scuffed it before I painted it, used a 150 grit paper, didn't help. Might give it a try anyways.

Try using an adhesion promoter. I used to paint the belts used on open belt drives for motorcycles, and I'd spray the adhesion promoter beforehand and the paint I used to airbrush the belt never came off.

Look into autoair paint. It's waterbased and it's good stuff.
