Do you have to use a high temp paint for the frame and axles or can I use a rattle can? I found a specific spray paint I want to use inside the cab of my 37 ford and I want the chassis to match...I'm only doing this to keep my rat rod under $3000.

You do not have to use high temp on your frame. I know some who do not paint frames at all. Rattle can will work just fine, depending on the look you are going for.

Thanks guys, I found a good how-to for spray painting your frame. I search and search and search and it's always right after I submit a question that I find something. Thanks for your help though!!!

And just a suggestion............use a high quality paint like Krylon or one of the ones you pick up at the auto paint store. This way you will only have to do it one time. The cheap spray bombs are just that, cheap. :D

I agree with Don. I found Rustoleum to be a quality spray, and Duplicolor, as well as Krylon. The cheap Walmart paint will not hold up to the elements for any length of time.

Yeah, those two brands you mention are really good too. Plus they spray heads seem to lay out a better pattern than the Walmart types. Get you one of those little triggers that clip on to make spraying easier, otherwise you will end up with a dented pointing finger. :D:D:D
