There is an older fellow the next town over, that has had his present body shop for the last 40 plus years. 9 years ago he 'retired' at 65 and shut down the fixing and repairing of collision vehicles, and since has only done restoration of older stuff. There will be three people working, all of us are semi-retired, work hours are 9 until 4, hour off for lunch, work 3 days a week, and the boss buys lunch on Thursdays. (Had my 'interview' over lunch today and met the other guys.) Couple of Merc pickups in the works right now, one ton is being restored, 1/2 ton is being built as a hot rod. Being a mechanic all my life, I'm a bit light on the bodywork skills, but they are more than happy to teach me what I need to know. But... being a mechanic I tear down, and assemble a lot of the components/vehicles. Holy crap!! I've died and gone to heaven!!
