To start off I am not a rust fiend, I detest steel termites to be honest. I have picked up a second Model A frame to hang my '40 suspension under. It is boxed with 3/16" plate, and for what I paid I couldn't box mine for that price, but there are a few areas that are pitted pretty bad. Structurally how much pitting is too much pitting? In a few spots its about 1/2 way through the stock part of the frame, so like 1/16" though 1/8" type thing... I know I have a few of the worse spots to cut out and replace, just curious on some opinions...

Pitting can cause major damage to a frame. Just connect the dots, and that is where it can break. Boxed will help, but if you use it keep an eye on it.

Won't be a torque monster... looking at doing up a relatively stock flathead.

Like I said I know there are a few spots of the worst that I want to repair, just a pit here and there that is somewhat deep and not sure if I should just drill out and weld in a slug or not, or cut out a larger section and weld in a larger peice.
