While looking through some hamb posts, I noticed some guy made the mistake of mentioning that he was building a "rat rod" while he was asking a question in reference to his project. Of course all the usual comments started flying, and sadly, there's a familar name doing some of the worst flaming. Suprisingly, a few of the guys were helpful and one of them went out of his way to answer the guys question. I sent the guy a PM and invited him to come over and check us out.

You know, I couldn't even stand to read all that garbage. "Ratrod" oh we don't even say that word. My Grandma used to turn off the TV when a tornado warning came on. Like it was gonna make it go away.

I'm like you guys, a little surprised when I saw this particular member chiming in. What he said wasn't "outright" anti rat, but still raised my eyebrows a little. Sort of like playing both ends of the field.

Glad you invited him over. I cruise there and when I see someone getting beat up on I do the same thing. Why should anyone have to take that kind of abuse?

Yeah, the HAMB is really like the Old West where anything goes. There are some very talented guys and they have egos to match, and some for no real reason. As you can see, DON'T mention that dirty "rat" word there!

I agree, Flat. Surprised me too. Wasn't expecting to see him do that.
The "Rev" has come a long way I think....hope it continues. '22
