Power cowl steering progress pics

I've been putzing with this for a few weeks and today I got after it. I had to pull the tub off to get'er done. I will mount the steering wheel out through the dash and it will be mostly perpendicular, like an old Corvette. I will also run the lines after I get the engine and firewall installed and the pump mounted.

I like the undercowl subframe you built, very strong. What are your plans to extend the sector shaft out the side?

In the center photo you can see how I extended the shaft. That is long enough but I can also slide it some on the keyway if I need a little more.
I took a pitman arm and farm implement pto yoke to the machine shop and had the yoke made that goes on the pitman shaft. This is getting expensive, probably have $100 into it already.
The one question nobody asks is about the Saginaw steering box. It has to be reverse from what most cars have.

How do you reverse one of those? I know how you do a Corvair box, is this pretty much the same?

I never did a Corvair. I found an application with a reversed box, the Astrovan swings backwards from the rest.

Yeah, if I never told anyone I could sell reverse power steering boxes like I had a corner on the market
