We were dating but kinda cooled off on that so I haven't talked to her today. Early this morning her son was killed in his car. Her name is Dara and her 11 year old daughter is Kelsey.

God, that must be the worst thing in the world, losing a child. I can't even begin, or want to begin, to imagine how horrible that must be. Your friend needs your strength right now, good to see you are there.

I just ran into a man I worked with today and he told me his wife died on Valentines Day. He was almost in tears telling me how he is trying to cope, so I slipped him my phone number and told him if he feels like it I would love to have a beer with him. Sometimes you just need someone to listen.

Lost a stepson about the same age 7-8 years ago. He was my daughter's best bud and I had to tell her.
She turned 16 today.

Will do too. My 15 yr old nephew was killed in a car wreck 3 months ago. 2 Others also. Devastating.

That lady needs someone to just be there and let her cry on your shoulder. I cannot imagine losing a child. Some of you know I just today had to go thru my 6 week old granddaughter having heart surgery. This is stuff that talking about wont fix. Ya just gotta be there and give her whatever help she needs to get through it.
