HI Guys,
I have searched and could not find answer I needed ,so I thought I would ask it here.
I want to run 2 leaf springs on front axle of my 27 sedan.Front axle I am using had 2 leaf springs on original vehicle it was in (1967 chevy G10 Van) so I wanted to go back that way.
Here is the problem. Can you guys tell me what leaf springs to use?
The ones off van are way too long.I gave them away to a rodder friend to use on rear of his car.I was thinking about a couple of speedways t bucket front cross springs ,but they have too much arch.I need an almost flat spring so front end will not set so high. And need short as possible so they will not stick way out in front of car.
Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys,rex

Check out trailer supply houses for trailer springs. Leaf springs are leaf springs and it doesn't matter what they were made for, as long as they fit and the weight rating is close they will work fine. They come in all different lengths and capacities.

I've used leaf springs from old Chevy trucks. They are around 34" long which is enough to provide a reasonable ride. Usually 4 or 5 leaves is sufficient. They sit quite flat. I have friends that are into these trucks so the springs were free.
