What year did Ford first have juice brakes? I always though it was like 40 but this 37 pickup has them.

Someone swapped over at some point in your trucks life.........first year was '40.
That was a common upgrade back then.

I bet if you look at the wishbone perch bolts there is an extra little bracket on top. That was for the original mechanical brake rods.

Actually, 1939 was the first year that Ford introduced hydraulic brakes, on both cars and trucks. Your 1938 shouldn't have had them from the factory as far as I know WB3.
