Just a question on my 54 IH.

I was wondering if people really thought my project was kool or with it not being really a traditional rat rod was it kinda not yer cup of tea ?

Just curious because its designed with a hidden frame in the front and a kinda a one off design but it didnt really seem to really overwhelm anyone???

Guess I was just thinkin it would really stir up some intresting conversation with the frame built like it is. No biggie but I was kinda curious. Tnx

Heres the link if you havent saw it. RR [S

You had 7 rapid and very compimentary responses to your post yesterday. There's probably about 30 people that are "frequent responders" on RRR. Hundreds and hundreds seldom or never post comments.
I don't think you can judge the interest in your build by the compliments you recieve. Rather, it is the number of views that would be a better indicator.
I can tell you, even though I haven't commented on the build update you did yesterday, I am floored by the concept and sat around wondering why everything I do is so conventional compared to your International.
Here's my most important point: It's your Hot Rod. Don't build it for praise from others. You'll get that anyway. Build it because you love it.

Ok don't get me wrong here but I think everyone watching your build have given a big thumbs up, everyone has said great job, can't wait to see more, ect. ect.... Now as far as ( traditional rat ) wait that means I have to now build my rat to some standard, no way !!!! seems everyone likes your build, I like the hidden frame idea, just waiting to see how the front susp. is going to work, kinda cool right now with the engine just hanging in space idea. I like outside the box, I never liked rules myself. I don't think you will hear anything bad about it, thats over on the other site not here, here if someone don't like it they just don't say anything, momma always said if you can't say something nice ................

Yea dont get me wrong, I appreciate the nice responses I just figured Id get some conversation stirred up on the frame design but yer right, I kinda hang back to at times.

I can assure you its gonna be a crazy suspension setup.[ddev

Thanks for everything, This place Rocks! RR:D

P.S. It is Chopped....7 inches???;)

hey man, your project was so cool i was speachless took me this long to be able to post. LOL. i love when people build things that are different thats what keeps things interesting.great build

I agree with the others.. i wouldnt think to much about not getting tons of responses... one of the longest conversations in my thread was about brakes and master cylinders.. no big deal it wasnt something exciting...

If you are building it just so you can sit back and have people complement you on it, In my opinion you are building it for the wrong reasons.. (unless you are looking to sell it) You should be building it for the enjoyment of doing it, and then one day the thrill and enjoyment of driving it...

I do think its looking cool, and am quite interested to see how the front suspension comes together..

Wow! I fully missed that update. I'm kinda glad you posted, cause I woulda totally missed what your doing with the frame. It is hard to keep up with all the builds on here though. Yes that is interesting. And you can bet we'll all be waiting to see how it turns out - even if we don't comment.

Again Thanks on the feedback.[cl

Definatly buildin it to drive n enjoy and Im in love with the way its turning out. Mr Gussett has really put time n thought into this. I think after the suspension setup is added it will really wow everyone. Time will tell though. LOL:D

I had him chop it were its at because im a large fella and I needed a little more heighth than the normal sized person.:D Tnx again, RR

Maybe you could put up some new pictures on this thread, all I saw was the first ones and I'm too lazy to look through 6 pages on the other thread. What did you do for a windshield?

This comes up on every forum........someone takes their time to post an update and pictures, and they feel they got very little response from the others. It happens to all of us, sometimes I put up a post and get lots of responses, and sometimes no one posts anything. It doesn't mean people aren't interested or don't like what you did, it just means they probably felt they had nothing to add to the conversation.

Even a post ho like me :)o) runs out of things to add to someones thread sometimes, or I feel I have exceeded my post limit for that day, so I sit back and just read. I've had some very good builders, with excellent threads, send me PM's asking why they don't get more response to their offerings. I just have to tell them what I said above...........it doesn't mean no one is looking or enjoying the thread, it just means they didn't have anything meaningful to say.

When you deal in unconventional-'outta the box' thinking you are usually by yourself. Conventional stuff is there for a reason--it's usually the most functional- the most practicle. Unconventional thinking usually has a high failure rate, and people stay away from it. Most R&D ends up on the trash heap.

Its interesting to do and see different stuff, and I enjoy it and recommend it and think it can be rewarding to everyone.

I'm interested in seeing where you go with the build and applaud your effort.

Ok, here is your pat on the back. Atta boy! [cl

without outside the box thinkers and do'ers there would be no forward movement in any form no matter what field it is in. Good for you for having the stones to lay it all out there. But remember, you may or may not get any or any good responses.[S

Now get in there and chop that top! whats up with those big azz windows!? what are they like 4" tall!? *gasp* ;)
