A *real* tin magnet
Long story. In about 1990 I gave my sister a 59 Belair 4 door for a wedding present. Her oldest son was maybe 6. So he gets older, is a gear head and lays claim to the 59, thrashes the poo out of it all through high school. Goes off to the Marines, spends I think 5 years while the 59 is in the garage. So now he comes home, hero, arrogant little ****weed. He gets the bright idea he can buy these old 6.2 diesels from Hummers for $200 per and talks his stepdad into ferrying ( and bankrolling) a load of them 1500 miles from Missouri. Plan is to buy old pickups and make grease burners to sell. Yeah, right, whatgever. Well anyway he starts talking about yanking the 283 and putting a 6.2 in the 59. The first time he mentioned it I about blew a fuse. He still thinks he is going to do that. Poor old car lived through his highschool years and now has to suffer this disgrace. How is it that the military can siphon off half of their brain and convince them they are smater than everyone else? No disrespect intended to vets, just to this dipwad. OK, rant over. I still love the knothead.
