We pretty much finished tweaking the cars for our annual trek to The Turkey Rod Run in Daytona. I put a shakedown run on my coupe today and everything seems all systems go. We just have to clean em up and we're ready to roll. If you are going to the run and see these three cars parked together, stop by and introduce yourself. It's me (coupe) my dad (Pontiac) and my brother, speed racer here(Vette). We hope to meet some of you there.

That is a rolling car show! If it was me the car show would be tomarrow, I usually get ready on the way to the show. You guys have fun.

Just not close enough. At least for the next few years. Maybe in 2011 or 2012.

I'll be looking for you there Gastrick. Won't be easy to miss you guys with those cool cars. :)

My ex-Brother-in-law lives over your way in Coral Springs. He has a red vette that looks just like the one in your pictures. It has 40,000 miles on it, and he bought it when he was in College (he's now like 60) He never had the money in College to modify it with wheels and stuff, so it is bone stock. I used to get on him and tell him to drive the darned thing, but he felt it was "worth more" just sitting getting no miles on it.

He is now in bad health and doesn't really need the money, so where did his investment get him? He could have been driving it and making some memories. Cars are made to drive, not boost your bottom line.

Lookin' GOOD!!!

Don,
It's his car but I am totally with you. Stingrays are very kool cars & although it was probably a fantastic investment... imagine all the fab memories you could have had driving that car... OMG! Do you know how much $$$ Howard Hughes left? HE LEFT IT ALL!!!

Gastrick,
Man... those cars look *really* sharp! Have a great time (I know u will), wish I could make it but airfare over the turkey day weekend is OUTrageous!

Actually Don, I live in Coral Springs right now. All of these small but crowded cities are very close together here. It's just a couple of miles from Pompano Beach. They all sort of run together.

Ashamed about your ex-brother-in-law. I don't think I'll ever have those kinds of issues though. I'll always need the money and I could never leave anything stock.

Great time!!!

Well... u guys have a great time & I hope the weather is good for ya. Turkey Run is definitely on my list of things to do... maybe next year! ; - >

Okay fellas, We're leaving in about 6 hours. We are taking my brother's (speed racer's) lap top so I may be able to send some updates and maybe a couple of pics while we are at the show. If not, there will be full coverage when we get back. See ya back here Sunday night.

Got my clothes packed, put out lots of food and water for all the cats, cars are about as ready as possible, so tomorrow at about 10 am we will be right behind you Gastrick.

Yep Flatbroke, Florida has no hills. I kinda miss them too. In fact, they have a building code in Cape Coral (town next to me) where you have to build your house on a 9 foot elevation above sealevel. To do that they haul in sand and stuff and make a little mound for your house to sit on. :D:D

I too will post lots of pictures when we get back. Camera battery is all charged and ready to go!!
