cougar rear suspension cougar indpendent
i had the rear rubber bushings that hold the rear frame pull out
no ford dealer in the us have them what can i do
can i put 4 inch pipe in there an weld them solid

My buddy has one of those set aside for putting in his 70 mustang and i got a good look at it a while ago looks like you could get performance bushings to match something up in urathane
 
Yeah, making some is easy enough. Just find some rubber that is close to size and get to work! :D

I've used that rear sub frame in a Rat, and I just welded the sub frame in after making sure the pinion angle was right. If its the bushings I'm thinking of they just bolt the subframe to the unibody.

I'm suprized you don't see more used in projects. Easy to get and convert over and great for bagging. The only down side I found was the funky bolt pattern, and its a bit narrow. Front wheel drive Ford stuff. I reversed some FWD 15" rims though and solved both problems.
