reversed corvair wont reach the cowl??

Ok so this the the site for "rat rod" set up and inginuative fixes for cheap...instead of buying the gasalleey rods corvair extension for 200!!!. so that the output shaft which is only 1.5" long
What can I do to either get the box right up to the cowl or make some extension so the out put shaft can reach the cowl.??thanks guys

We make an extension for that Corvair box. Just $125.00 with a exchange pitman arm.

i take the sector shaft out of the box, machine the end down to a dowel, machine and extension out of another sector shaft, bore a hole in the end of the extension that is .001 smaller than the dowel end, press on weld, and machine smooth.

Yeah I'm definetly gonna call hime tomorrow..I like the fact that the pitman arm has some style to it..rather than the rectangle one from gasalley
