My right side widow is not working on my work truck. I got a new motor but it's not working. When I use my test light on the swithes the driver side works fine but the passenger side reads that pushing both up and down only the down is showing hot... When you push the switch to the down position the "up" side of the switch shows hot. I'll post a photo soon.

sounds like the switch is no good - or your wires are backwards ( but if that were the case it would still work - just opposite) -- pop off the switch from the driver side and see what happens when you use that one... double check to make sure the wires to the motor are connected well and in the proper spot -- thats where id start at least.

I thinks it's probably the switch too. It was working and suddenly stopped. I'm guessing the switch shorted out or something. I checked the motor on the driver side and it works fine. Both in up and down position the switch is showing hot down. I'm about to run to Oreilly's and get a new switch.

The fuse box that's in there has 2 30A/12V fuses that are bigger and silver in color in the 2 ACC positions. I'm guessing one of these goes to the power windows cause I can't find any other fuses going to the windows?????

I had a broken wire problem on mine, between the door and door jamb where the wires flex every time you open the door.

I think those are breakers. The windows should be on a breaker, but if you have power to the switches, that shouldn't be a problem. Test the motor with a jumper wire - (if you know what wires are what).

Thanks for the input. The new switch works. Thanks for all the input. I wish I had time to do this sooner. Been running with no AC and only one window all summer. Oh well, done it before.

I kind of like electrical problems...(sometimes)... they are like math problems and it feels good when you figure it out. Thanks again.

Oh yeah, I did notice those are breakers, not fuses... my bad.
