I just watched the video fiki suggested. Unbelieveable! I wonder if a guy could fit a T roadster pickup body outside, or inside a chassis/engine combo like that?

OOPS back to the Atom - I have seen one of these in the flesh (so to speak) on a track...good grief they shift - see we Brits can build good cars - but only specialist ones our normal cars are (sorry were) S**t.

If you were going to build a low buck Atom with junkyard parts, what would you use?
Have any of you done autocross? I thought about showing up with a hot rod, but don't want to get snubbed by the sporty car guys.

I think a turbo Chev EcoTech would probably be a good choice. You can find them in the junk yards & they put out lots of ponies!!!

The autocross events here you will all sorts of differnt rides from stock to wild and every one seems cool......but i have never enterd an event...
if were too build something from only out of junk yard parts ?.............. I would start with a Bug pan and go from there.

I saw a really kool perimeter Vdub frame for exotic bugs that was really kool. I'm sure it would be easy for some of the guys to duplicate. I'll see if I can find it again!!!
