Ok... shoot me!!! I woke in in a wierd kinda mood this mornin' & realized we're settin' the standard for the traditional rat rod here so future generations can build 'um *just* like we did "back-in-da-day"!!!

Fast forward a bit... "Yep sonny... back in da day... we used gasoline to power our rat rods"!!! Shut up great granpa... gasoline hasn't been available for decades!!!

weird mood is right !?
All this talk about at least 32 miles per gallon stuff ,i can just wonder what type of impact thats gonna have on the rodding sene???I could fill it comming for a long time ?I can here it now The more old cars that they can get off the road ,the more we will have to purchase newwer cars 'to help the screwed up econamy and 'less polution in the enviroment.
They been after us for a while ,better get ready fo it.
I'll imbrase it ! I cant wait to get hold of one of those newwer cars and cut the heck out of it and put an old rat rod body on it[man wont that **** of ''the man''!!!] All the comfort of hydrogen [if ya dont wreck]and all the rust of old!??>
We ''are'' a dieing breed gentalmen, but we dont have to go down without a fight?

In Victoria ,Australia we have a $2000 rebate to convert to LPG some of the rat rod and hot guys are now running on straight LPG.If it costs you $4000 for a system and you get $2000 back, and LPG is 55 cents a litre compared to $1.50 for pump gas , for some guys its a no brainer. But really who gives a crap about who can drive what in 100 years time when we can enjoy what we drive now.

we used gasoline to power our rat rods!!

Just by having the interests we have we can give our kids and grandkids the choice of taking the train or driving a real car.;)

I've never had "taking the train" explaned to me like that and I'm glad. That is a fancy train. I've never seen one like that. All the trains are gone from where I live. They pulled up the tracks and made bike trails that nobody uses. I hope our cars will be passed down and driven and not end up in a musuem somewhere. HB

I had this thought a while ago: Someday hot rods will be trailered to the fairgrounds with eco-friendly vehicles, to be viewed as curiosities. Then, there will be the equivalent of a "cacklefest" where the gas engines are permitted to run for a few minutes. If you have earned enough carbon credits you can briefly drive around on a closed course. Veggieburgers will replace any form of meat. And, "Land of the free" will be eliminated from the National Anthem". Depressed yet???

My only daughter, who is 12, doesn't give a flip about cars, doesn't want to learn how to drive either, so let her sell off my junk and ride the train when I'm gone, one less rich Arab.
Kinda like my dad worrying if I would learn how to break and harness a team of horses because he loved them, I didn't.

Wow, that is deep!
