RumbleFest - Labor Day Weekend - Amherst, WI
RumbleFest 2012 is coming to the Portage County Fairgrounds in Amherst, WI August 31 thru September 2nd, 2012.
Hundreds of pre-'65 traditional hot rods and custom cars will be on hand along with a large automotive swap meet, commercial vendors selling everything from hot rod parts to vintage clothing, camping and more.
More than 14 bands will provide great rockabilly, surf and rock and roll music. Saturday night's headliners will be the legendary 60's surf band The Trashmen playing all their hits including Surfin' Bird!
Vintage modified stock cars will take to the fairground's 1/3 mile dirt track track Saturday afternoon for some great stock car action and there will also be mini-bike drags on the front straightaway Saturday AM.
The Mid-State Sisters of Skate ladies roller derby team will be on hand to do a derby demo and will also run their dunk tank... come out and get the girls wet!
All this plus weekend camping, free hot showers, free parking and plenty of great food and cold beer.
A weekend pass is a measly $15 for the three day event! Kids 15 and under are free! Single day admission is also available. Gates open at 4PM Friday and 9AM Sat/Sun. The show runs until 11PM each day.
