pretty nice looking little truck but why do they have grid marks all over it, i mean it doesnt look like they have taken anything out of the lower part of the body?

I'm trying to get a grillshell from what I believe is an old GAZ truck and bring it back with me when I come home. It doesn't look like the one in the thread, but I'm pretty sure it's a GAZ. I have seen several on the road still running believe it or not. If I can get a pic of one I'll post it up. I thought it would be cool to use some old tin from over here on a project back home someday.

I wish I could load tons of stuff up and send it home. A grill shell is about as big as I can get away with. Wish me luck!
