All loaded up and hooked to the trailer to go out 100 miles on sketchy info. Freind's son turned us on to it and all we know is there's a Desoto with big fins and a Pontiac 2 door hardtop, the kind with red and white stripes ??? Oh, and another car in a barn but he don't know what it is.
Camera is charged up. hope the trailer is full on the way home, rolling the dice on $100 worth of fuel.

road trip

if nothing else, enjoy the ride and have safe trip.

who knows, may find something else kickin' around on the way there or back.
been there, out looking at one thing and come home with something else.

Later

I've drive further with less info, the hunt is a lot of the fun for me. Hope it's worth your trip.

turned out to be a total bust. The Desoto was a complete wreck with a rusted up 361, no hemi. And the pontiac was a late 70s Bonneville.
So we stopped at another place about halfway home aND 13 MILES OFF THE Pavcement. Some of the cars in my picture thread are there but he was shingling his roof and didn't have time to take us over there. Sooo.. I called another old dude and went to look at his stuff when we got home, another 13 miles of bad gravel road. Made some deals and came home with this for 5 ounces of silver. Probably pay for my fuel when I part it out.

5 oz of silver..lol. I tried to by a car with silver rounds awhile back and the guy looked at me like I was from outer space. Asked me what he was supposed to to with it and sent me on my way.

Flipped the A this morning and made my fuel money back, and maybe $100 so it wasn't a complete waste of a day. Except I had to work all day today to make up for it so I would have stuff ready for the jobsite tomorrow.
