Search & Restore tv show?

anybody catch this new show on powerblock/spike tv?

i really thought they displayed a noble cause and made the show more than just another "reality" car show...in similar fashion to overhaulin, but a longer time frame per car

not alot of cheesy "drama" but some emotional moments as you hear about the owners of the cars they restore....

may not be for everyone but it gets my thumbs up![P

I liked it, but they spent to much time on the story and not enough on the car build. Reminds me of extreme makover home edition, which I worked on once and was never able to watch the show again.

my fear is too much "commercialism" mixed into it... i know we have the sponsors & those making "donations"...just don't cram too much of it in there....

i kinda liked the fact that the "story" was included...but i could have handled a few more "car details" just fine too

I worked on one of those too Rev., did lose a lot of interest in the show!!
But I also felt like I was part of something special too!! Extreme Makeover, that is!!

Speaking of TV car shows, what ever happened to Drag Race High? The first series was pretty cool, done down South somewhere, and the second one was done in California.

I think what killed it was the second series, because, in contrast to the Southern kids who were on the first show, the guys from California were out of control. The kids from the South were decent and respectful and were really trying hard to build nice cars, but the ones from California were basically brats who were goofing off all the time and getting into trouble. Even their Shop Teacher was a loser who encouraged their misbehaviour.

I wish they would bring it back and this time pick the right schools for the right reasons.
