Put a set of Speedway's low back seats in my 28 sedan and even with the drivers seat flat on the floor they still set to high, plus I lost some leg room. I think I'm going to build some bomber seats and install some snap in cushions or something for comfort. Anybody built their own or got any pointers on what to do and what not to do? I'm going to use 18 gauge steel.

I built the bomber seats for my Essex, the only mistake I made was not using the best foam I could get my hands on for padding. I used a mid range foam and found on long drives it would compress real bad and get hard on the butt.
I think it is closed cell foam you want. I know it works better on motorcycle seats. The other stuff is like a sponge, you can squeeze all the air out of it.
