Sorry guys and gals...but thanks for your concern

I'm intact....getting my butt kicked over the last month, I'll make it quick..kinda..I'm on the road (patrol) the majority of the time now....admin time is kinda short...
first....my 80+ in laws are now livinig with us....too much for them to be on their own...father in law had a week in the hospital for low blood pressure, mother in law went in for pnemonia..both are out and living at my house....had to close up and winterize their place in St. Helen Mich....we've been getting our butts kicked at the dept...larceny from auto, home invasions and retail fraud / shop lifting, domestic violence....then one of our officers goes on medical for rotater cuff issue...out for 2 or more months.....we've been making arrests for the larcenies, home invasions and shop lifting so we are making progress .... I had a domestic violence at the start of my shift at 3pm...WTH???.....On top of that...the beginning of Nov my daughter in law decides she needs to go back to work and now we are baby sitting the grandbabies in the mornings (Me) and on the weekend so both me and wife....I love that part as I get to spend some time....just with all this it leaves nearly 0 time for much else....so bear with me....hopefully all will mellow out a bit before long...lots of adjustments to having my inlaws living with us....
Anyway, I'm hoping we can hire a part timer to go full time till the other officer gets back....I've been filling his spot....from what I've seen, I've missed a ton.....Happy belated Birthday to all I've missed....SamFear, Doc..and I'll try to find time to take a breath and get in touch with stuff here...frankly, I'd rather be on RRR then out on the road....maybe it's getting time to think retirement....???

As for retirement, it's sure been good for me. Should have done it quicker.

Whew, thank goodness you're still kicking. Having grown up in the Detroit area I know how those Michiganders can be this time of the year. Something about the earths rotation, the holiday and the cold makes them a little cookoo Hang in there, it can't last forever.

Slow night tonight..only one arrest...woman arrested for driving under the influence of prescription meds.....first slow night in a while....Sam...you're killin me... yep...they are in their 80's....my house is pretty plain...was a two bedroom bungalo...put a dormer up so now it's 4 bedrooms, two bath and has an apartment (currently occupied by my youngest son) in the basement...so it's comfortable but not overly large...I got into to the barn for one day in the last 4 weeks....I've attached a couple pic's....tried to work on the grill thing..gonna ask for some advise from the experts here on how to make the extension on the hood....another post in another location...Doc and Pops..I'm just not ready....figure another year or two....maybe sooner if this knee doesn't stop acting up...Thanks again for keepin an eye on me....Lord knows I need it....lol
