l put my angle finder on my rear shocks and it said 30%.

so, is the angle on the shocks too steep or will they work OK?[S:confused:

Yep, they are pretty ineffective the way you have them mounted. They should also be leaned in from side to side to help control body roll on turns.

You'll find this strange, I did. The stock shocks on the '40 Plymouth pickup I'm building were similiar yours. If you look up my build thread there should be a pic there.

l may drive it that way and see if l like it, also putting in rear-sway bar out of a 1974 camaro to help with the lean in corners.

Hey Skull, alot of work you did, though the shock will just swing with the axle,, really not doing anything,, picture the way its pivoting up wit the rear end.

If you can slap a spreader bar across rail to rail, maybe do a bend for clearance on the 3rd member or toss them out back behind the rear end, keep them as far out towards the brakes as possible and lean a few degree's no more than 10 12, You can guy different spring rates as well for the weight of your vehicle
