OK, too new and not a rat but still...
92 F250 351, ZF 5 speed and 4'10 gear. Out comes the 351 and in goes a 300-6. I got the engine set in yesterday. I cut out the old engine stands and spent a couple hours taking them in and out and fitting. Today they get welded to the frame. Then out to a ranch to pillage all my front pulleys and brackets, fan, radiator. ect.
The engine already has a comp 268H cam and I have the split efi exhaust manifolds. I also have an Offy dual port with a 390 Holley, or a very scarce Edelbrock SP2P for a single carb. That is supposed to be the low enf torque monster intake but I think the 268 would be happier with the DP/390
Anyway, if the big six and bug 5 speed like each other I plan to use the combo in a more cool shop truck or maybe just ax the 92 body on favour of..say a 57 Ford

yeah I want to see this engine setup too. I am building one similar to this. Ihave a 79 300 with the 268 cam, offy and a 600. I also bored the motor .030 over and decked the head .020 and block .010 did a port and polish, with the efi manifolds. according to what I have and some calculators I should be about 285 hp/350 tq Time will tell. What kind of 5 speed you running? I am looking to find one for mine because my 79 has a 3 on the tree.

Thanks

Arin

Don't really have much too add, other than I love my 300I6 - stock 87' EFI version converted to 1bbl carb. (long story) Talk about a reliable engine though.....

Thinking about getting a 300 + auto trans for my Olds project.....Hmmmm.....

EDIT: I forgot to mention I've always wanted to turbo a 300 - I hear they can be serious axle twisters with all that torque.
