I was doing some straightening up prior to getting back on the rod. The phone kept ringing, people stopping over and nothing got done. But this one young guy that stopped over. It's a long story on him, nice "kid", mid 20s. He deals quite a bit in old prewar cars and parts but is real paranoid about a lot of things and doesn't want the locals to really know what he's doing or what's in his shop/yard. Today he dropped off a couple things for me to work on and we had a beer. He wants to show me something so I go with him. I have to promise not to tell people around here, as usual when he takes me on his property. Well, he opens up this tiny old garage building and starts moving this stack of boxes and there is a red 69 Z/28. The car was restored many years ago and is showing it's age a little but is still a sweet ride. I'll have it in my shop in a few weeks to work on the front brakes and rebuild the carb.
