In the new Hot Rod Delux there's a photo and tag line of the infamous Groucho's green flaked Deuce. In another magazine I saw a race car driver bought that stupid rat rod god or whatever that young punk's name was that had that real chopped c-dan with the 22" billet mags that said the car was going to make him world famous. The race car driver talked about what a piece of junk it was and all the work he had to do to the car.

Groucho sold me his '51 Ford AWB to finance that Coupe. After it was done, it was gorgeous. However, he put the coupe up for sale soon after. He said it was too much trouble to clean after a drive. He was asking $38.5K for it. He also asked if I would consider trading the "51 back to him. Eventually, he traded the coupe for 2 other cars, one of which is a '38 Chevy that is sweet. I heard the new owner of the coupe has it for sale for $65K!!!

Not defending anybody here, but...... I believe what he actually said was that the "Car" itself would become famous.

The fact is I've seen more scuttle butt over the net from the last two owners and others, and now in print to quailify this car at the very least as "Infamous" ! :D

Now that the car is in Paul's hands I believe it will really come into it's own as he has made many mechanical improvements and styling upgrades.
