WOW what a small world it is!
I posted awhile back about the 58 Edsel that I am getting and the guy that I am getting it from told me about a Hearse/ambulance at the same time! Well, my wife has been wanting a hearse /ambulance forever so we went to go look for it.Well we found it and its perfect shape inside and the body is real solid except in just a few spots.Talked to the owner and said he wanted $2000. for it but would consider a little less. It's a 1972 Cadillac with a 472 in it.It needs a waterpump and a brake line fixed.SO GUESS WHAT I'm getting a hearse soon too! Any way...... was at a car show today and was telling Rod (RATRODNEY who I'm building his 54 IH trk) and found out that HE used to own the hearse about 7 yrs ago! What a small world! All within a 15 mile radius!
So here before too long I will have two BOATS, land yachts, or whatever ya want to call them to build too! Both together for less than $3000.[cl
I will post pics soon!

sweet deal

sounds like a good deal and those old caddy's are easy to work on and a WP
can't be to pricey.

check the freeze plugs, if the WP went bad because it water froze in it, the motor may have pushed out a freeze plug or two.

l have a friend who collects edsels. he's got 2, :D

Later:cool:

We had a 1970 Caddy Sedan DeVille and it was a terrific car. True Cadillac quality in everything, and that 472 would smoke the tires. :D It liked gas though, and no matter if I was towing a boat or not, going up hill or on the level, it got 10 MPG............never more, never less. We bought it when we lived in California and we took it back to Pennsylvania when we moved. People there had never seen an older car that was rust free and mint. I would come out of a store and people would be standing around it. Good looking cars they were.

Good luck with your new duo. :)

Tim, Reading your post early this a.m.. It put in my mind the "Munster Family" LOL! Does Mrs. G have any resemblance to Lily? Marilyn? GRRRRR!!! LOL

We have a friend that works at the casket factory here in the county. We need to get you one for your hearse!
