How do you get them in with the text?When I click on them they directly to the title as in this one.And can just get that one that you see.No others anywhere.Is there an option that I dont know about.

When you reply to a thread, click the "go advanced" button on the right bottom of the screen. They will appear on the right side of your screen when you are in the advanced reply screen.
When you start a new thread, they are the smileys that are at the right, not the bottom of your text box.

I dont see no go advanced.Well I found that button,But it still only has the smiley dudes on the bottom.Nothing on the sides.How did you get them?

35, When you post a reply do you use the Post Reply button or the icon with a piece of paper and a quill on the the bottom right of the post? If you use the post reply button it does not give you the go advanced.
If you use the paper and quill icon you will see the post quick reply, go advance button...or at least you should.

If I hit post reply.There is no button to Go advanced??????????Just has Submit reply or Preview post.

That is true, you are already there.
Then just hit the smily guys at the end of your sentance or phrase.
You have the click on the smile you want. Those are the ones on the right of the screen.

Better call in Tripper or Tripper Jr. on this one maybe there is something in your prefernces on your member page you have or have not clicked on. It might say something like enable smiles. Check your member page.
Also, if you scroll down on the reply page it will say "other options" just above where it says manage attachments there is a box where you can check or uncheck "disable smilies in text".

The problem is that there is none on the right.Just the bottom???????????

This is what my page looks like and I would think your's should also.
The smiley icons are circled in red, the option at the bottom that must
be unchecked is also circled.
This is the standard reply page.
If you don't see these items, then check with Tripper to see what needs to
be changed on your set up.

These items may also affect what you are not seeing (I could be wrong, though )
Under “edit options” on your user control panel, under “thread display options”,
mine looks like this.
"You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts":
Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images (including attached images and images in code)
[B]The three "show" items above are all checked[/B]
Under “miscellaneous options”, at the bottom, I use :
“Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls”.
Thats about all the help I can offer, hope you get it figured out... '22

Mine does not have any of that stuff on the page that you have there.Just a blank page with the smiles on the bottom.None of that at all that you have on top either.

I have found the problem.
At the bottom of the options page this is what needs to be checked
Standard Editor-Extra Formatting Controls need to be checked.
All fixed now.
