Just wondering how retirement is treating you, Bill. Have you gotten the time yet to work on your project(s)? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

Don

Good question! We certainly have heard from you a little more now that you're retired, but not as much as we should, so you must be extremely busy with your builds, right?:D...CR

I don't know about Gastrick. But since I retired it seems like I never have enough time in the day to get things done. Why is that? I do have a street rod but that doesn't take up much of my time.

Bob, not to hijack my own thread, but I see you are looking for the V in Chevrolet for your Chevelle, did you know you can find the entire Chevrolet name tag here:

Let's see, he's been retired for 2 weeks now. Should have his Dad's Willys and his Brother's 55 all done, and about half way through his new 34 project. I've seen him work, he's like the Energizer Bunny. :D:D

Don

[S Hmmmmm where is he?

Here I am. I've been fixing up my landscaping and taking care of a few home projects. I've also been feverishly gathering parts for the 34 project. I want to try to keep the down time to a minimum once I get started. I don't have a place for it at the workshop right now so I can't start on it just yet. We are trying to figure out a solution. I've done a little work on my brother's 55 Chevy but not as much as he would like. I've also been turned into a teenager taxi service for my kids who seem to need rides everywhere all of the sudden. It's been sort of like darrk said, I had more time when I was working[S. How did that happen? I WILL get started here shortly though. I can't wait to get my finger on the trigger. I already have most of the style details worked out in my head.

On the upside, I am enjoying not answering to the man everyday:D

You don't have to account for yourself to the boss anymore Gas, now it's just us pests on RRR wanting you to entertain us with build pix :D

Same here! After I retired I had less time than B4 & started to wonder how I got everything done when I was actually working every day... crazy!!! Glad you checked in because I was starting to think you'd been abducted by aliens! Hey... they need hot rods... er... space rods too!!! :D:D:D

Congrats on the retirement!! Wont be long and I will be there. If Wife had her way it would be now! I just keep putting it off. Dont know why. I really dont mind my job working on big trucks but so much has changed in the last 10 years I am ready to hang it up and let the younger bucks have at it. Have always enjoyed overhauls on the big rigs but with all the new emission laws to diesels and 2010 had got to where you cant hardly see the engine so like I said, the young bucks want to do engine work they can have it!! So I really think my time is near. We are putting our house up for sale and probably moving south to Tennessee hopefully sometime next year.

Maybe get a job at Wally World as a greeter telling people to go *&^( theirselfs. Lol

Tennessee?

C'mon down! Try Knoxville...lots of hotroddin goin on here....close to Pigeon Forge. We'd love to have ya for a neighbor. Say howdy when you get here.

What do you mean you have been doing LANDSCAPING, Bill? That's not what you are supposed to do when you retire. You are supposed to move into a Condo, go to dinner in time to get the early bird specials, sit around the local IHOP and gossip with your old buddies about who is doing what, and drive in the left lane at 30 MPH with your turn signal on for miles and miles. THAT, MY FRIEND, IS RETIREMENT!!!!!!! :D:D:D

We better see some hot rod progress pretty soon or we are going to notify Social Security to revoke your pension. :D

Thanks Shakey. Actually that is very close to where we are planning on going. I have sister that lives in Harriman and my wife has an uncle that lives in Lenoir City. Beautiful country. I have heard there is alot of car stuff all around that area. Crossville has the dragstrip. Shows around Pigeon Forge area all the time. Hate moving but cant wait to leave this tax me state either. Not much Rat stuff here either unless you get to around Indy. They have the Road Rocket Rumble rat show every year and is a great show. My wife and I came down to the Redneck Rumble and it was just good if not better and I am leaning more towards the better side. Larger swap meat area and cars. Had a great time even though I didnt get to take my panel.
