It was a good one but I bought it with a tired engine and some rust issues, drove it 37,000 miles in 5 years and got twice what I paid. I have owned maybe 100 pickups and this was one of the best. It really spoiled me for driving any of the rough riding plastic clad newer stuff.
Well, anyway I need a 4wd in this area so I am now working on a 68 Mercury pickup to go on a 79 F250 4x4 chassis. Engine as yet undertermined but it will be a stick shift, possibly a 450 with a ZF 5 speed.

I rarely name cars but this one was Loosey.

That was a neat truck. You don't see too many of those. At least you made a nice profit. I hope it's well looked after for years to come.
 
Cool thing about the 72 and earlier Ford crew cabs is they were not built by ford but by a company named Crown in Canada. I think they just stretched regular picks. There was no different body code. The frame was plated over the outside. Very expensive too, over double the price of a single cab when new.
