Some idea of what it's worth?

Looking at and trying to find info on the Caddy 331 motor out of a 55, toying with the idea to put it in my 54 3100 as I have 99% decided to go gasser look. Looking for input not sure because what I have found is $$$ for some parts like transmission adpt kit, and I want to go with a manual trans. So wadda ya think?

My experience with Cadillac, both the older and later model engines are expensive to build whether stock or modified. They don't respond well to modifications so guess what I'm saying is pick another engine, but if you just have to have the "Kool" factor be ready to spend big bucks...[P

Me thinks those are good words to follow.......... I'm out. I'll stick with my inliner for now maybe ever, who knows. Maybe someday on old hemi will fall into my lap...
