What the heck is with the visor on the bug?? Doesn't fit at all. Not sure about the sides but no hood. Probably did that because they didn't make the effort to make a custom grill that matched the body better and just slapped a 32 grille shell on there that's too tall for the firewall.

Truck - it's so tall and narrow, it looks like a boat. Otherwise, the fenders look like a quick fix after thought. And they shoulda went with a straight axle instead of that big bulky suspension - at least spent for some sleek tube a-arms.

I never get when somebody takes the effort to do that much work on something and then leaves something so awkward or not right.

Channel the Chevy PU, re-do the fenders with something with more curves, move the headlamps out of the grill (and fill that whole area with grill), and then it might look OK to me.

Waste of a good pickup. The Chevy/Bug needs a hood and maybe another grill shell that fits the body lines better. I like the Stude front end, the rear needs something, just not sure what. It might have looked better as a roadster.
Just my two cents, take it for what it's worth.

The bug is actually a 47 chevy aero sedan, built buy Posies rod
shop back in 2008......it sold for 100k....hmmmm?

When I was in grade school I got in trouble for arguing with the teacher that Jackson Pollack was a BS artist. I'm not buying the 100k hype. From the firewall back it's great, but the 32 grille shell is a fail and screws up the whole balance of the front end. Guess they coulda got 150k with a better thought out grille. ;)

EDIT: I went and looked at few more pics of the Posies sedan. It's not as bad as I expected from different angles, but I still think they could have found a better matching grille with little effort.

I went the other way. I like it less from other angles.

For instance, from this angle the rear section of the car has weird proportions. Still lots of neat aspects to it and awesome craftsmanship, though.

When I saw under the hood, I understand why they didn't put a hood on it. A Roush-built turbo 300-six that is purely a work of art. Personally I think it looks better without a hood than it would with one. And I don't mine the front grille at all, although something in a 37-40 style could be better.

The Chevy / Bug thing needs a different grille that is shorter and a hood top. The truck is fugly, The Stude is ok but I rather like cars like this to be topless so the proportions aren't thrown off

YUK! They say beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, I'd have to be bad drunk to like that. The rear tires are too tall, the body sits too low. That would have looked better with shorter tires and some kind of swoopy fenders front and back, along with a layed back grill shell like a 34 Ford or maybe even a Chrysler Airflow.. And those tail lights and trunk handle upset the flow of the rear, look bug eyed.
