Nothing to do with cars. Just thought it was interesting. A few months ago, I ran into the parents of an old girlfriend. 30 years ago, to be exact. Very short lived relationship, but a bad break-up. Anyway, she now lives in another state and she has been e-mailing and calling me. We are both married very happily by the way. She sent me her photo and she hasn't changed since she was 17.

Now the spooky part. Last Wed, I got up and took a shower before work. In the middle of the shower, I suddenly said, "It's her birthday!". I looked around and thought, why did I say that? I never knew her birthday. It bugged me, so I sent an e-card anyway. After work at 2:30, she called. I asked her if she opened her e-mail yet. She said no, so I said, "Happy Birthday!".

There was a long pause. Then she said, "How do you know that!". I said I didn't know. It just came to me in the morning. We are both freaked out by this, her more so than me, because it's happened before.

How cool! All i will say is i believe we have connections to the important people in our lives that were made before this one even began. Hope this thread grows with others adding there experiences. (of course i am too abashed) Good story, thanks for sharing Gasser

Not really. I've talked to her husband and even got him to join another site I'm on. We relate funny stories back and forth.

Another time it happened was around '79. I thought something was wrong with a girl I knew. I went to the hospital by her house and she had been admitted the night before. I walked in and she was so surprised. She said I always showed up when she needed me. I hadn't seen her in 2 years. Just got a funny feeling.

I had something really bad happen to me about seven years ago.

I was still working at the dealership. It was early morning and I was having some chest pain. A coworker noticed and hauled me to the ER. They laid me out and ran a EKG for a couple hours and told me to go home.

I call my wife to pick me up. She picks me up and we stop at a resteraunt on the way home. While we are there she gets a phone call from my mom and then her expression goes blank after about 30 seconds in the conversation.

She hands me the phone and I get the news that my brother suffered a major heart attack few hours ealier and passed away.

I could not beleive the coincidence.

There use to be a TV series called "One Step Beyond" about coincidences like that. One in particular stands out in my mind. A man is at home dying from thirst. No matter what anyone does, he's dying. The doctors couldn't figure it out. Turns out he had an identical twin who was trapped in a mine. When the twin was rescued, the guy came out of it. They were suppose to be true stories.

First subject, watch yourself with the ex GF thing. I know it seems innocent now, both you being married and all, but these things have a way of blowing up on you. (don't ask how I know)

As for the Psychic thing, some people do have abilities that most of us don't have. Years ago I went to an old Italian lady Psychic who was referred to me by a girl who worked for me. She was so good that some Attorneys wouldn't try a case without consulting with her! Anyway, she didn't know me from Adam and gave me three sheets of paper and a pen and told me to take notes. She was so specific in what she said that she even named names and stuff that was right on the mark.

One strange thing was that as she was flipping through her Taro cards she said, "Oh, you have twins!" I asked her what made her say that and she held up a 9 card, and said "they were born 9 minutes apart." When I got home I read the notes to my wife and told her "the only thing she was wrong on was the minutes, our kids were born 11 minutes apart." My wife then said " Guess what, I just found their birth certificates and we have been saying 11 minutes all these years, but they were really born 9 minutes apart!"

I have no Psychic abilties, I can't even pick 3 numbers on a Lotto ticket.

For me, it was closure. She was the only girl to break my heart, plus she's 200 lbs now.

Anyway, Monday night I told my wife that she was going to call and ask why we broke up. The next day at 11 am, she called. I said you want to ask me something. She said, "Yeah, do you remember why we broke up?" I told my wife that night. She cracked up.

My dad gets those kinds of things. My dad and his mom doesn't have a real good relationship and will go for five or six years without speaking. One day he's like I think I should call mom. We're all like why? He's like I got a bad feeling. Two or three days later our uncle shows up, tells us that she's in the hospital and shes going to need tripple bypass heart surgery.

That kinda stuff freaks the hell outta me lol.

When I was a kid in junior high school, I was extremely shy and wouldn't talk to girls. My Mom got a quija board and my Mom, sis and bro were trying to get it to work. Then my Mom said, "Get Rick over here. Strange thing always happen to him!". My sis called me into the room. My Mom said, "Touch the board". Using my little finger, I touched the pointer and it went nuts. Because I was so shy, one of the questions they asked was, "Who was Rick going to married?". The pointer went to "J" and "B". I knew lots of "J" but no one with the last initials "B". At 22, I was married to a girl named Janet Bailey!
