Spring question

Ok, I’ve settled on 300lb rate springs for the front of the Falcon, they come as 13.5 length and you have to cut them to fit. How in the heck do you determine that ???

First cut is one round that gives you somewhere around a two inch drop then, if you need more, the second cut is 1/2 a round.

We used to stick them in a bucket of water just shy of the cut mark so the heat doesn't detemper the spring when using a torch.

When you're cutting a spring that you want to continue using, using a grinder is much more friendly to the spring.
