steering gearbox question 2

i got this for nothing. it was included with some other stuff i bought. wondering what it is out of? side says C I U R - 3550 - B
worth rebuilding? junk?

Hmmmmmmmm??? I've never seen that one. Looks pretty adaptable though, especially with that arm having a clamp on end.

How does it move, freely? How many turns lock to lock? It looks like the input shaft is a little short in the pictures, is there enough to put a u joint or shaft on it?

I think you might have something there that you could use.

it's actually messed up. that's why i didn't know if it was worth messing with. it does need to be rebuilt. and no, the shaft is actually pretty small.

If it is too messed up just pass on it. Even if you can get the right parts they are usually not cheap. For example, I paid $ 400 for the pitman shaft in the '56 Ford truck box for my '27, and that was 20 years ago!
