Just looking at the new St Rodder on the rack at the store this morning.
They are building a '51 Chevy and leaving the surface rust body "as found". They are wildmen i tell 'ya! They said of course the '57 235 six that was in it would be replaced with a 350/350. I'm sure they don't want to upset the conservative readership with too much deviation from the formula. They are trying to keep the cost below $15,000.:D

My favorite part of that mag..................... is the 20% off at Harbor Frieght coupons

i'd be biting my nails to see if they can actually pull that off for such a tight budget........a cliff-hanger fer sure:rolleyes:

but they sure are thinking "outside the box" with that wacky old rusty paint[cl

Just so I am not toooo much of a hypocrite[S, I admit to reading the mag, I dig the articles by Ron Covell in the Metalworking Tips section as I have used some of his practices in a few of the bikes/choppers I built and shown. Shop Manual section by Ron Ceridono, also has some great tech stuff.

Someone gifted me with a subscription for 2 years. There are several laying around I haven't even looked in. Just not my cup of tea. Now if they had got me a subscription to Rod and Custom....
