Suicide Frontends

Got a couple questions. I bought this 41 Ford front end with split wish bones. I'm also dealin on a new Model A front end that has hairpins. Just wondering which would work better to mount the spring perches to, the hairpin or wishbone. I also wondering how far back from the axle I can mount the spring. I never done a sucide front before and am gettin parts and ideas before buildin the frame for my IH project. If ya got pics that would be great too. A picture is worth a thousand words ya know. Have you checked out DonsRod's? There's some pics on here and he gave some pretty good advice. If you don't see it I'll look it up for you.
