I am building a 31 Buick 60 series and the motor I am using is a DT466 with a Allison 545 trans out of a school bus.
Does anybody have ideas for how to build a cool suspension for this car?
I was thinking of using a beam out of a 4700 series truck, but the track is much wider than I was planning to go and I don't want to cut it and narrow it. If I did that I would have to widen the body to make it all work together and I am not sure how that would look.
Any body know of an old truck (firetruck etc) that had a beam that would hold the 1700 + lbs of motor and tranny?
OR does anyone have a better idea for a set up? bags? Anything?
Let me know because I am scratching a hole in my head.
