It really is in nice shape. It is a one owner car, I got alot of paper history with it right down to the orignal sale contract and the bank contract. He paid $2290.00 for it new with a $73.00 a month payment, also got every registration sub from day one, cool stuff. It still shows under 65k on the clock.
These things rotted into the ground in about 3 years for the most part up here in salty road land.

302 with a C4, Granada discs on front, Maverick 8" rear should be a close fit. I'd fix the rust and paint it and have a nice driver! That interior looks super nice!

I was looking for a Falcon like that before I bought my Maverick. If I had of found one, that's the way I would have done it.

My first car in 1978 was a 61 like that. Paid 50 for it. It had a 144 I6 with a 2 speed auto. You could beat it on foot in a 40 yard dash. I only had it for about 3 months when I realized the bus went everywhere I did, so I traded it for a refridgerator. Those were the days..........what a car, it had a ton of chrome on it!

Thanks guys, it should be a fun little ride.
I am sticking with the 6 ina row for power.
Sam I was think'n scallop's.

Good plan !!!
That thing is a blank canvas. Enjoy it
Once you get it goin, do things in increments of an hour or two at a time.
It'll take it's own direction.

The thing that I really remember is the rockers were eaten up from rust, but not fixed, just painted . You can kinda see that in this pic.

I misread it I thought it said "The Bucket of York"
You could call it The DOOK of York and when someone asks What's a DOOK just point to the car and say "A BIG Dookie" :D

I'm in Nebraskie so...I cant use that one myself unless I was in York Nebraska and that ain't gonna happen much as I like Omaha.

Maybe I should change the name:rolleyes: Went out to the shop tonight and got it up in the air so I can do the brake & fuel lines and was very suprized how nice the under side of it is, the doors all open and close sitting on jack stands:) if I get the time this might get done fast.

Found a patch panel, should be here next mon/tues. So instead of just letting it go I am going to fix this side, the rest of it is pretty nice so I gotta at least do this. Actully got the back 1/2 of the quater on the cheap so I'll just chop off the bottom 1/2.[;)

Good call; I'm all about budget priced old cruisers but major rust out has to go. Cant see anything cool about a big rotted hole in my ride with pieces falling out. Give it a fighting chance to be around for a while; even if you just fix one small area at a time.
