I just watched a news story on a small Pennsylvania town (forget the name) where the population is normally like 2,700. However, because of an influx of illegal aliens, the population has swollen by 50%. Now, these illegals contribute NO money to the tax base, so the town is forced to support itself on the same money it had before the illegals came, and pay for Police, Hospitals, etc for these new people, even thought by law they should not be there. The town is facing bankruptcy over this new influx.

To add to the fire, they have determined 30 % of the crime increase can be directly attributed to these illegals, as is the drug trafficing. So, the Mayor passed a law that any business that hires illegals or houses illegals is subject to arrest. Seems only right, doesn't it........if you are illegal, you should not be employable or housable?

Guess what? Some US Circuit Judge has ruled they can not do that because it violates the rights of the illegals, and goes against US Government policy on Foreign relations !!!!!!!!!!!!

I CAN'T STAND IT !!!!!!!!!!!!! When are we going to get mad enough to say enough is enough?????????

Did the Judge forget that they are illegal, therefore have no standing to claim rights under OUR law. Is the Judge hispanic??? The area I grew up in, in L.A., was predominately Jewish. I go back there now and all the signs are in Spanish. No one speaks english. There were the projects, down the street, which was all black. Now you see the mexican street vendors with their blankets spread.
Downtown L.A. was the mecca for shopping with Broadway, MayCo and others. Real theaters with stages, now it's all hispanic and homeless.

You know if a bank gets robbed, it's a violation of Federal Law but the local P.D. is expected to handle it. But if the robber is illegal, the P.D. is prohibited from contacting the INS...........When is this country gonna get real and deport all the illegals along with the ACLU...........

I'm voting republican...One who has been on TV, The one who said (at a very late night congressional hearing) "What is wrong with this picture.The L.A. Zoo is closed for the day yet we are here in session. Am I the only person here that sees a problem with this"?

SOCIAL SECURITY:

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congressmen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own "Benefit Plan".

In more recent years, no congress person has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan for them. Their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.

Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments.

For example, former Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275,000.00 during the last years of their lives.

This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADA....ZILCH....

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. YOU and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK"!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, -every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer)- we can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to jerk the "Golden Fleece Retirement Plan" from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us ... then sit back and watch how fast they would fix it.

Discuss this issue with as many people as you can. Family, friends, even strangers.

If enough people know this, the seed of awareness will be planted and good changes will evolve.

Remember...Bad people prevail, because good people choose to do nothing!!

Sad thing is, if you were to get someone that was willing to buck the status quo. Make reasonable decisions like nationalizationing the gas company, medicine, immigration, revamping civil procedures, tort reform, etc.....
He would be assasinated!!!

I heard a sad commentary one time. They interviewed I think it was the Governor of Texas, and he said if the illegals were gone the housing, housekeeping, and many other industries would collapse.

It is really a weird thing. At the marina I worked at we had an illegal. He was there when I was hired. Everybody liked Jose', and sort of looked the other way about his status because he had three kids, and really loved them and was a good Father. However, there were some things that irked us occasionally. For instance, he had hospitalization for him through our company, but didn't put his family on it because he would have to pay for them. He preferred to let the Government take care of the healthcare for his kids and wife, and that was being done EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ILLEGAL !! Another time a fellow employee told him the Churches were giving out free Xmas dinners to needy families, so he went to 5 Churches and got a free dinner from each, and held a big Xmas party for his family and friends. Oh, and his average paycheck was about a $ 1000.00 !!!

My Sons are in property management, and Dan manages one Tax Credit property where the Government subsidizes part or all of the rent for needy people. These are not slums, and they just paid $ 140 K to paint the exterior. The apartments are all very nice, and the grounds are spotless. But even at that, some people are late on their rent, and some only pay $ 20 a month, and the Government picks up the rest.

He just evicted one lady a few weeks ago, because she wasn't paying her rent, but he said there was a huge box of 4th of July fireworks that she had in the apartment that she somehow found the money to pay for.

It has got to stop somewhere.

You ever see these people using food stamps and they are buying sodas and twinkies. Then the walk out of the store and get into a Cadi or Lincoln...........

Where I work, there's a set of "projects" subsidized by the government. Low income families, but when you go into their apartments, you see giant big screen T.V.'s......................

The parking lot at the apartment complex I was talking about has a ton of new SUV's, even Navigators and a Hummer !! When I go over there I have the oldest car in the lot. And by law to receive the aid they get you can't make over $25K a year combined income for the family.........YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!

Oh, and of course every one of them has to have a huge car stereo and turn the volume up all the way...BOOM, BOOM, BOOM.
