Has any one heard about the propose merger of GM and Chrysler?

I can't see how this will help either company.
Although with Chrysler's unique sytle innovations and the current trend for automakers to produce retro-cars, this could produce some badass retro-combos. Like a hemi powered Chevelle SS or a 455 powered GTO. Ha!
